Marketplace Avenue construction is 85% complete and is on track for substantial completion by September 30, 2025. The project widens 0.6 miles of roadway from FM 1626 into a 4-lane arterial, improving traffic capacity and access to nearby commercial areas. Current activities include final paving, median work, and preparation for striping and signal adjustments.

Location: Extends from FM 1626 through the existing Marketplace Ave. segment to Old Bridge Trail and Kohlers Crossing

Construct 0.6 miles of new roadway, closing the gap between north and south Marketplace Avenue segments.
Widen the existing road (FM 1626 to Old Bridge Trail) to match the new extension for seamless flow and improved safety.

Construction funded by the City of Kyle’s 2022 Road Bond
Construction = $11.4 M

CONSTRUCTION COMPLETE:
The project was the first of the 2022 bond projects to break ground and reach construction completion.
A ribbon cutting and grand opening block party was held on July 31, 2025, with the road officially opening to vehicle traffic on August 1, 2025
