KYLE PARKWAY TO LEHMAN

Overview

This project will improve mobility and reduce congestion in Northeast Kyle by extending Lehman Road northeast from Bunton Creek Road to Dacy Lane as a four-lane roadway and extending Kyle Parkway to connect with the new segment.

October 2025

In Final Design with anticipated completion this Fall. This project will extend Lehman Road northeast from Bunton Creek Road to Dacy Lane, while also extending Kyle Parkway to connect with Lehman Road. The 1.3-mile corridor includes four roundabouts at major intersections.

      • Lehman Road northeast as a four-lane arterial from Bunton Creek Road to Dacy Lane

      • Extension of Kyle Parkway to connect to the new segment of Lehman Road

  • Construct four two-lane roundabouts at the intersections of:

    • Kyle Parkway & Dacy Lane

    • Kyle Parkway & Lehman Road

    • Lehman Road & Bunton Creek Road

    • Lehman Road & Dacy Lane

  • Construction funded by the City of Kyle’s 2022 Road Bond

    Total Project Cost = $42.5 M

    • Final Design Phase: 100% Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) were submitted and awaiting review

    • Requests for Construction Proposals: To be scheduled after design review (no specific date published yet)

    • Anticipated Construction: Spring 2026 - Fall 2027

Closing in on final design! The Kyle Parkway/Lehman Road Extension is now 90% complete. This 1.3-mile project will connect Bunton Creek Road to Dacy Lane. Full PS&E is expected by August 18.

Center Street designs submitted, Jack C. Hays segment at 60%, Kyle Parkway designs submitted

Big moves in Kyle! With four roundabouts and major extensions on the horizon, the Parkway/Lehman project is full speed ahead, designs submitted and utilities under review.
