2022 Road Bond Update
Per City Council direction on July 7, 2026, We are conducting updated traffic studies to reevaluate intersections throughout the City of Kyle. A recommendation will be provided once updated data has been collected and analyzed. Pedestrian facility is also being evaluated. Due to these ongoing evaluations, current plans are subject to change.

On July 7, 2026 Kyle City Council received a report on the status of the 2022 City of Kyle Road Bond Program projects.
The memorandum, linked here, and accompanying presentation which can be accessed below and is linked here, provide an overview of the Road Bond program status, project-specific updates, summarize upcoming milestones, and review the program’s cost updates as of July 7, 2026.

Here are the road bond projects next in line for contractor bidding and then construction:
Kyle Parkway - Lehman Road Extension
Old Stagecoach Road
Old Stagecoach North
Center Street (East Segment)
The contractor bidding phase is when the finalized project plans are advertised and qualified contractors submit competitive bids to construct the improvements. After reviewing the bids for responsiveness, cost, and experience, the City selects a contractor and prepares to move into construction

Beginning Wednesday, June 17, and continuing through Saturday, October 31, Bebee Road will be temporarily closed at IH-35 as part of the 2022 Road Bond Program construction project.
During the closure, traffic will be detoured through the new IH-35/Kohlers Crossing intersection and along the Kohlers Crossing extension, reconnecting with Bebee Road west of Republic Drive. One lane in each direction will remain open to accommodate through traffic.
Access to Lakeside Crossing from Bebee Road will remain open during this phase of construction.
The work being done on Bebee Road includes widening it from two lanes to four with a center turn lane, the addition of drainage, curbs, and sidewalks along both sides.
Motorists may experience delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible. Please follow all posted traffic control devices, watch for construction crews and equipment, and use extra caution when traveling through the work zone.

On Wednesday, Sept. 9, the right lane of the northbound IH-35 frontage road at the Bebee Road intersection will be closed as part of the 2022 Road Bond Program construction project.
This temporary closure is necessary to install the last sections of the curb that tie the reconstructed Bebee Road into the IH-35 northbound frontage road. Motorists may experience traffic delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible during the operation.
Work is scheduled between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Drivers are asked to follow all traffic signs, watch for crews and equipment and drive with caution through the work zone.

The City of Kyle has officially launched 8 major roadway projects across the community, delivering a total of 10.3 miles of new and improved roadways
These upgrades will:
Make travel smoother and safer for drivers, bikers, and pedestrians
Strengthen connections between Kyle’s east and west sides
Expand the Vybe Trail System to give our community more ways to stay active and connected
