Summer 2026
Design for the on-system portion of Center Street (RM 150) is at about 55% completion. Submittal for 60% of the design plan is scheduled for Fall 2026. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Review and Technical Coordination meeting remains to be determined.
Overview
Future improvement of two to three-lane expansion of Center Street from Veterans Drive to Main Street.

Expand Center Street from two lanes to three lanes to increase capacity
Improve road and intersection infrastructure to enhance safety and reduce congestion
Enhance drainage and supporting utilities along the corridor
Improve sidewalks and pedestrian crossings for better downtown accessibility

Construction funded by the City of Kyle’s 2022 Road Bond
Total Project Cost = $10.2 M
