Two Voter-Approved Road Bond Projects Underway on East of I-35
July 18, 2025
The City of Kyle recently began construction on two significant road improvement projects, the extension of Kohlers Crossing and the widening of Bebee Road, as part of the 2022 Road Bond Program. These initiatives, with a combined investment of over $130 million, aim to alleviate traffic congestion, improve east-west connectivity, and support the city's rapid growth. Both projects will be completed in multiple segments, with the first phases of construction already underway. The projects were approved by voters in November 2022 and are two of eight planned transportation projects intended to enhance the city's overall transportation network.

City of Kyle to Break Ground on Two Critical Road Bond Projects East of I-35
July 10, 2025
The City of Kyle is holding a ceremonial groundbreaking on July 17 to mark the start of two major road improvement projects: the extension of Kohlers Crossing and the widening of Bebee Road. Both projects, which are part of the voter-approved 2022 Road Bond Program, are located east of I-35 and are designed to improve traffic flow and connectivity between the east and west sides of the city. The Kohlers Crossing extension will create a direct route to Seton Hospital, while the Bebee Road project will expand the road to four lanes and add a new roundabout at its intersection with Kohlers Crossing to enhance safety and traffic efficiency. These are the second and third projects from the bond to begin construction, following the extension of Marketplace Avenue, which is set to open later this summer.
